Silk Weaving Tour

 Take a guided tour to local silk weaving areas of Varanasi and have an experience of centuries old weaving culture of Varanasi. Here silk is not woven in some factories however there are many weaving areas. The community which are mostly involved in this activity are called “Julaha”. You can see the centuries old technique of weaving where they still make use of handlooms to make beautiful brocade. In many areas weavers have shifted to powerlooms. In the areas you can also see and interact with families who are involved in this traditional business.

Note: Please wear shoes and comfortable dress. This tour can be conducted at any time in the day. Photography is generally allowed. Cab services for Airport/Railway station transfer are available with additional charges.
