Take a full day guided tour of two great destinations of the Indian state of Bihar that is Gaya and Bodhgaya. Bodhgaya, is the holiest place for Buddhists because Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment at this place. The day of Buddha’s enlightenment came to be known as Buddha Purnima and the tree under which he meditated as the Bodhi Tree. A UNESCO world heritage site Mahabodhi Temple is considered to be the holiest place in Bodhgaya for Buddhists and Hindus as this was the religious ground where under the Bodhi Tree, Buddha attained Enlightenment. Later on many Buddhist Temples and monasteries were constructed in the surrounding which is too very attractive and worth visiting.
Vishnupada Mandir is an ancient temple in Gaya, India (10 Km from Bodhgaya). It is a Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is located along the Falgu River, marked by a footprint of Lord Vishnu known as Dharmasila, incised into a block of basalt.
