An excellent spot that reaches out to the hearts of those who love anything ancient, Barabar Caves date back to Mauryan era that span between 322 BC and 185 BC. They proudly hold the top rank of being the most ancient surviving rock-cut caves in the land. Four caves comprise Barabar caves out of which the most fascinating caves are Lomas Rishi caves. Its construction shares similarity to wooden huts, which were home to Buddhist monks.
This Full day guided tour start after breakfast and finishes with the sightseeing of Bodhgaya in return. First you will take a drive to the Barabar Caves to explore. Afternoon you will return back o Bodhgaya where you will visit Mahabodhi Temple which is residing at the place where Siddhartha attained enlightenment and became Buddha.
Later you will walk through the Bodhi Tree under which Buddha meditated. Walking ahead you will arrive to Muchalinda Lake. You will be having enough time to sit at this great spot to meditate and experience the divine energy. Later you will be taken through several Buddhist Temples and monasteries of Bodhagaya constructed by different Buddhist countries followed by the Gaint Buddha Statue. Finally you will arrive at Sujata Kuti where humble tribal woman named Sujatha offered pudding to Gautam Buddha. It is said that the pudding was the first meal which Gautam Buddha had consumed after years of starvation.
